im going on to day 5 of this horrible experience and every day but the first has been nothing but torture. Not only am i stuck sitting in the recliner with the tv on and seeing all these awesome food ads flash before me, but whatever i do manage to eat tastes nothing more than vomit to me. I puked my second day of surgery-the reason is i was taking codine -the tylenol c**p and couldnt get anything in my stomach so i got sick and threw up for a good 2 minutes-came out my nose and everything. After that I wouldnt take the pain med. I woke up the next day with HORRIBLE ear aches i mean i never felt sh*t like this before. I was just crying because i didnt know what to do. I took the pain meds and forced myself to eat so i wouldnt throw up and it worked within 20 minutes.
I guess the most painful thing is waking up in the morning because your all dried out and the meds are worn off. I just keep telling myself what i did was for the better later. Force yourself to drink-dont sip because its more painful. I drink in gulps because it sooths the throat going down. Pepsi irritates me yet. Ice cream only causes phlem and so does pudding though both are soothing at first. I keep spitting in napkins to avoid swallowing. I think the ear aches are the worst part of it.
The day of surgery i was not nervous at all, actually excited that these things were coming out and i didnt want to leave the hospital because the drugs there are obviously much better. I ate pancakes IN VERY SMALL well chewed pieces and lots of syrup, scrambled eggs and soup in the first day, had finger sized portions of mashed potatoes and slowly moved onto chicken, vel vita shells, and flavored noodles. eat all small portions and chew well to avoid choking. And now i have this annoying ringing in my ears. This surgery definetely pissed me off and ive never been so cranky...
oh yeah and not to mention the day before surgery i had pizza hut and went to outback and i still havent taken a sh*t, ON TOP of having my period. life.
