Hello! I'm currently in highschool and am soon to be in the offseason. I run distance and obviously want to prepare for XC. BUT, I also want to get better at long jump. My coach has a pretty strict training plan laid out for us so how could I do both?

hey there, you can put in some plyometrics training in your routine, could be just after your coach's training plan as it does not require that much time, or any other day you have free (make sure you leave a rest day). Plyometrics training is great for getting you to jump better. on top of that, it improves your running stamina. Kill two birds with one stone :)
