How come you decided to marry your spouse?

I am interested in other people's stories about how they decided to stay with their partners and get married to them. For me, it was him or nobody else. We got together five years ago and during that time I wished for nobody else. Yes, there are a lot of differences between us, yes, we do disagree often, yes, we don argue a lot but when he holds me, I wish for nothing else.

So, I chose a partner who is not my friend but who I love. I'm not sure if it will last and to be honest, it's not something I thought about. Of course I do like the man he is.

Now, were you thinking (been rational) or were you led by emotions alone when you said yes?
