Your hymen is normal, both the size of the opening and its position. You should think very carefully before you damage or destroy your hymen. It is there for a reason. It is the proof of your virginity, and it protects you against penetration. Don't do something irreversible to your body which you will later regret. As to your friends, they may claim that engaging in sports ruptured the hymen, but more likely this resulted from masturbation (which they don't admit to you!) or from insertion of an object.

saisfaire is incorrect. Many people do break it from excercise, sports, horseback riding, stretching, and tons of other stuff. Not masturbation or insertion though that can also do it.

I have had trouble with tampons so instead of trying to break it try these suggestions.

Relax as much as possible, it will make it easier and less uncomfortable.

You should either put one leg up like on the toilet seat to allow easier insertion, or get in a squatting position, which I think is easiest though you can feel kinda silly.

Just breathe and take it slow, try using smaller Absorbencies. It may take a while to get use to but it normally just takes time and practice. (Only practice during your period, pulling a dry tampon out can cause scrapes and hurt.)

Haha, this is weird, just because your hymen isn't broken doesn't mean you're an official "non-virgen", im a virgen and even i know that :-P . i think my hymen is actually already ripped, but not from having sex, but from something else and i think it might have been a sport. And another thing, if i where you, i wouldn't try jamming my finger up in my vagina, especially if you don't know what you're doing. Your fingers might be dirty and you might catch some kind of infection. ;-) Sex is something a young lady should take seriously, for the love of God, it's what gives you the honest title, Virgen. Dude, just take your time and enjoy being young, if you're like my age, 15, don't lose your virginity now, do youe realize how bad that makes you look? In my mothers time they would have went around calling you a puta XD But times are different, but the facts are still the same, Trust me, im agnostic, my opinion has nothing to do with religion, it's just common sense. Actually your wrong you CAN rupture your hymen from sports, running, horse back riding, pilates, karate or just attempting to do the splits :0 yea you can break your hymen from masturbating but it usually only stretches it unless you do it with such force and probably with more than 1 finger.

It's medically proven that over the years the hymen thins and very easy to tear.Also hymen differs -it maybe very thick with a very narrow ,or it might be more then two ,or just one and wide .And hymen is not exactly correct term for it-it's actually called the vaginal corona-a thin and more elastic type of tender muscle .It's not exactly known why it's there ,but it's agreeable that it protects vaginal opening from minor and some major vaginal infections .I myself have to deal with never ending periods ,torturing pains ,nausea ,throw up and sh*t for 7 years just because my parents were ashamed to take me to the doctor ,and I had to take surgery down there to tear the corona ,because as it seemed it was torn in my very early teens -I played different kinds of sports almost from the diapers -three older brother kept me company .Since I was 10 I take part in yearly horse riding competition .And probably it teared sometime at that time .It's really unfair for silly ,century old ideas to affect 21 century females .My parents were ashamed because of me for several years ,and my mother -my own mother actually yelled at me that she unlucky to have her daughter go through that because when 'my time' comes my parents will have to show their son-low-to-be my medical history to prove that I will be innocent .I 've never felt so humiliated in my life .If not my brothers I would have done something that I might have regretted after time .It's not fair to treat females the way most people still do .Female body might seem fragile ,weak and petite ,but it's not true .Women really are difficult .It's not my fault that I have to bleed every month for several days and nights ,having no sleep during that time and still expected to do my best when all i want at that time is to cry and scream and start walking on walls .The progress never stops ,nothing ,no knowledge is set in stone and it' s a shame that in our time ,when it has reached it's such heights considering the past ,we still believe in things taught by people that didn't have any real knowledge of the actual matter .So please ,try not judge without even not trying to listen .because if it hadn't happened to us ,if we haven't felt ,seen or done something others have experienced ,please at least shut up for a minute and let us tell before making assumptions based on your inexperience .please ,because everyone has right to express ,show and defend who they are .Nothing less,nothing more .
