My mother has entered the menopause. I did not know that menopause could change a woman so much, she is nervous, she cries all the time and complains of the constant weakness and irregular heartbeat. I thought that heart issues will pass after the period of adaptation to menopause, but they persisted. She is taking Norpace now and I would like to know how does it work?

That is an anti arrhythmic used for treating the irregular heart beat. It is excellent for stabilization of that heart function and it will help with those symptoms that could be related to menopause. This drug provides a release of disopyramide and should be taken every 12 hours (Norpace CR). Anyway, it should help with heart problems.
