I read your post from a year ago, and wondered if you're still not drinking. If not, do you feel any better? I'm in your shoes, no booze for almost five weeks, (over 100 grams of vodka per day) and last year I quit for three months, same thing - no energy, no enthusiasm, I know it's all to my screwed up brain chemistry thanks to alcohol but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with. Thanks for any advice and info!

Bottle of rum a week is nothing. I know people who drink a bottle a day and are fine. Settle down and enjoy yourself!

That is awesome!! I've just woken up to day 19. I too love my wine a bit too much. Was having it with meals 2 nights a week which became four nights a week and I put on a lot of weight! . .. how did you go with the 7 months?

My husband drinks everyday. Typically around 7-10 (typically after 5:30 or later) in the work week and upper teens all day on the weekends. He says he "wants" to and it's not a need. However, it's causing issues and even our kids have said things. It's an addiction, right? He doesn't do things he used to, schedules things that revolve around drinking, and is always "frustrated". If he doesn't drink (only 2x in the last year), he gets sweaty and red. He complained of his heart hurting one of the times and went to bed. Even the kids asked him what was wrong and he snapped at them. He has also blacked out and forgotten things, changes conversations, etc... He has crazy dreams and a couple of nights he appeared to be sleeping and talking jibberish while his enitre body shook. I need guidance and reassurance that he is in denial and this is a problem.
