Schizophrenia is something our entire family will have to deal with now that my brother has been diagnosed with it last month. He is currently under the therapy and he generally feels better, and his behavior improved. Still, I am afraid that he is kept under control only because of meds and that his delusional ideas will return again. How often delusional ideas occur?

Well, since he is under the therapy now, and if it is effective, there should not be any delusions. Delusions are one of the major signs of schizophrenia and might completely throw the patient’s mind out of the balance. The frequency and the intensity of the delusional ideas is something that cannot be established with certainty because they are different in each case of schizophrenia.
