Hi. My neighbor has been claiming that oral insulin could prevent type 1 diabetes. First of all, I know that insulin couldn’t be taken orally. If it happened, it would be degraded in stomach by enzymes. That is why diabetics take it by needle. How could this oral insulin prevent this disease? Maybe there is some solution in experimental phase.
