Hi, folks. I am trying to make my kid’s diet balanced, but I am not always sure if this is as it should be. I would like to ask how to know if my child takes enough vitamin D. I was hoping someone here could help me more with this issue. I would appreciate all your help. Thank you in advance.

Hello to you too. Vitamin D is very important in calcium and phosphorus metabolism. It is very important for a proper bone developing as well. There are very few good sources of vitamin D, so supplements are often recommended. Fish is something that is rich with vitamin D. Sun exposure is also important in getting enough vitamin D. Sun will get you more vitamin D than any kind of food. If you are not sure, consult your pediatrician about the details. I hope I’ve helped a little. Good luck!
