I am 23 years old and just after a week after my total thyrodectomy due to papillary carcinoma in my thyroid gland :( . I feel like i am fully recovered except to the fact that I am suffering from my calcium level. As per the doctors, my parathyroids are preserved and not harmed during the surgery. But I experience a shivering and muscle stiffness when i am engaged in a same posture for a several times a day.As per the doctors this is due to the temporary damage happened to the parathyroids and this would be back to normal as they are recovered time passed.I am taking 2 calcium tablets and alphacalcidol 0.5 per 3 times a day to recover from that. But still I dont feel any difference.I still suffer from that. I want to know whether there's anyone who is suffering of has suffered from the same issue and how long they suffered from that.Is papillary carcinoma a severe disease? let me know please.I am so young and i am so afraid of this although it is removed.:-(
