15 years ago, I accidentally got Nair *inside* my vagina. I didn't realize this had happened until an hour or two went by and my vagina was burning like crazy. I believe I got a second-degree burn from the ordeal, which has caused permanent damage and ongoing pain ever since.
I have no idea how to heal the inside of my vagina, and so far none of the doctors I have seen know what to do either. If anyone knows how to help, I'd greatly appreciate the advice!
From what I could research on NAIR, their chemicals seem to be very basic / alkaline... should I focus on more acidic treatments then?
Also, I've noticed that any time I get aroused my vaginal burning seems to intensify, sometimes to the point where my vagina starts sweating from the heat. :( It's awful!

Hello.
If you are still following this thread, here is what we found out for you.
Nair, a depilatory cream, contains chemicals that can cause severe irritation and damage to the sensitive skin of the genital area.
Here are some steps that you can take before seeking medical attention:
-
Rinse the area thoroughly with cool water: Rinse the area with cool water to remove any remaining Nair from the skin.
-
Apply a cool compress: Apply a cool compress to the affected area to help reduce swelling and discomfort.
-
Avoid using any soaps, lotions, or creams: Avoid using any soaps, lotions, or creams on the affected area until it has healed.
-
Wear loose, breathable clothing: Wear loose, breathable clothing to avoid further irritation.
-
Seek medical attention: If the burn is severe or if you experience any symptoms such as severe pain, swelling, or bleeding, seek medical attention immediately.
It is important to avoid using Nair or any other depilatory cream on the sensitive skin inside the vagina to prevent future burns or damage. Instead, consider alternative hair removal methods such as shaving, waxing, or using a depilatory cream that is specifically formulated for use on the bikini area.
