Hi,
I've had hypothyroidism for about 10 years and am currently on 150mcg Thyroxine a day (this has gone up and down a little over the years). I have only just learned that soya can interfere with thyroid function and am wondering if this is why, even though my blood test seems normal, I actually feel very hypothyroidy(!) if you know what I mean. I feel very fatigued, can't lose weight at the moment and have very dry skin (unusually) and have had a really sore throat for about four weeks.
I have been a veggie for years and gave up soya when I was pregnant with my two children (for other reasons). I have gone back on a very high in soya diet the last few months and I now think that I should be stopping all soya consumption.
Sorry for the long post - I was just wondering if anybody had any thoughts on the soya issue?
:)
