are you following a specific diet like vegan or vegetarian as they seem to be very popular among younger generation. if not list a typical day of your diet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Do you exercise or engage in weight training? Do you have any type of chronic illness? 

To gain weight you need to consume a diet according to your metabolic type, consume quality protein, carbohydrates, and good fats but not white flour products and processed food. Your urine ph needs to be in the 6.4-7.0 zone so that you can assimilate the nutrients. It is hard to put everything in writing as it takes a lot of time. Give me some more info perhaps I can help.
