I had an abortion on Nov. 3 2010; I did start my cycle probably at exactly 8weeks. The cycle wasn't different at all; same amount of days and the amount was normal for me. I have had an abortion in the past when I was in high school....so I kinda know my body after termination and during pregnancy cause I do also have an 3 yr old. I have never had irregular periods; not even after termination so at the moment my first though is that I am pregnant. Not to long after that first cycle I went to the doctor to be put on birth control. I got the nuva- ring which the doctor said couldn't be inserted til I had my next cycle; which hasn't come yet and im 6 days late. Also I didn't think pregnancy cause I went to the doctor and had to give urine and I wanted to be tested for all stds and HIV so I also got blood drawn; but I figure that testing for pregnancy isn't automatic unless upon request; so I could be or have been pregnant but wasn't tested for it. I never had a cycle during pregnancy or spotting between and also stress has never affected my cycle either. So im leaning towards pregnant, but then again I keep thinking maybe since im getting older that my body may be changing......but im not sure
