Hi
I had exactly the same. I had a torsion (twisted ovary that died) so I had to have the ovary and tube removed on my right-hand side. I couldn't get pregnant before I had this done, and we tried for 6 years but afterwards I have gone on to have 4 healthy pregnancies! I believe that by only having one ovary actually makes you more fertile as you ovulate every month whereas when you have 2 your body sometimes misses a month due to lower hormone levels but the lower levels still trigger ovulation in cases where you only have one ovary!
Hope this helps
:-)
PS I too was very concerned about that but it really doesn't lower your chances of pregnancy unless you have a problem with your remaining ovary.
