Personally, if I were in your place, I'd call the doctor again and tell him what you are experiencing. Depending on how bad you really are, he might consider sending you to the emergency room for admittance.
Regardless, if you are really scared and start having dizziness due to lack of oxygen, go to the emergency room. I don't think this is something to simply ignore and hope it gets better.

Don't worry, the symptoms you've listed are all very normal. Your bronchial tubes are irritated and the air that's brushing thru there causes pain. You will have to stick it out and use the medication to comfort and calm the symptoms. I wasn't sick alot as a child, but the one experience I remember is having bronchitis. It scared me to death, that's because we take breathing for granted. When we can't breathe normally, it naturally causes panic. You will be ok. Try to calm yourself, because your stress has its effect on your breathing too. It's making it worse. Stress affects our breathing when we are healthy right? Your heart rate is increased as a result of your stress and your illness. The coughing you're experiencing with the bronchitis will linger a while after you are back on your feet, so expect that. You will get better if you take care of yourself. I had to rest, eat right and wait for it to pass on. Be sure to stay in touch with your doctor as needed. Did this help?

I agree, if you are really concerned, take a trip to the ER or call your doctor again and have your concern addressed. They are used to the frequent phone calls, so don't feel bad. It is your health!
Bronchitis is no fun, I have had it myself. I remember it feeling like a 300 pound human was standing on my chest at all times and I couldn't quite catch my breath to the full capacity. Try not to panic and keep calm. Panicking will only increase your heart rate and could send you into an anxiety attack or hyperventilation. If you are dizzy and feeling faint, you should see a doctor right away because this would mean that you are indeed not getting enough oxygen.
Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

Hi:
How are you feeling now. I think that BrendaM said it best. It feels like a 300 pound human on your chest! We all agree that the symptoms would linger. Were diagnosed with bronchitis or was it something else. I really hope that you are feeling a lot better by now, even if you still have that infamous, lingering cough. How did the MD treat your condition and how well did it work? Please let us know how you are doing. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

I'm wheezing a lot, then I start wheezing more and more until I have a attack, then I can't breathe, so I go to the emergency room in the hospital. What's causing this? How can I make it stop?
