Everyone's body is different. As women, our bodies are not always like a clock and the same every single month always. I have had periods that lasted 12 days before.. and others that lasted 24 hours.

As long as the bleeding is not extra heavy flowing and you are not in terrible pain, it is safe to say you are fine. As you are young, your body is still trying to find her way and her place... so it will take some time to get regulated and accustomed to it's new grown-up job.

Also things like stress and activities can sometimes change the cycle, like make it late, early, longer, shorter etc.. Hormones have a lot to do with our bodies... that is not something we can really change. things just need to get regulated.

I would not worry if I were you.. but if your bleeding is really bad, like pad changing or tampon changing a couple times an hour or if the pain is unbearable then I would consider a visit to your doctor just to check on things.

Good luck!
