Ok first of all relax.  This is normal.  Many women have irregular periods and when going on a birth control it can also effect how your periods are.  3 months is still not long enough for your body to adjust to the birth control.  Yes it is long enough for it to work but it is not long enough for you to be normal with the birth control.  As for the clots if you have only been having them on your periods that is good but if your period has been longer than 7-10 days go see your obgyn as soon as possible.

I get clots consistently and they do hurt and are very uncomfortable.  You need to go speak to your obgyn about this because this may be a sign of another condition or your body may not be responding well to the birth control.  You will be ok though.  If you got on birth control to regulate your periods then you most likely have a condition that is a little more extreme but still very treatable.  There are some things for the female body that can get progressively worse as we get older that could not be noticed before but it is nothing to worry about.  Our bodies are unique and these things are often very treatable.  So deep breath and call your obgyn.  Make sure you have kept track of all symptoms and time frames.  This will help and it may just be changing you to another form of birth control.  Good luck you will be just fine.
