I am a mom of three. I delivered all of my children naturally with an epidural but i still felt the last two. The pain from this surgery has been almost unbearable! I had a melt down yesterday and sat there crying. Today is day 6 post op. I wake up every night around 4 sih in pain and sit there until my percocet kicks in so I can sleep. I wake up in pain also. I have learned to take my meds before I am wanting to eat so I can swallow, make it so much better. Honestly, I wish I would not have done it. I am a busy girl, and really had high expectations for a quick recovery. I have had a loss of taste on my left side making popsicles, pudding, jello and other sweet non solids taste really bad. WHICH IS A COMPLETE BUMMER! I was wondering if anyone has encountered this and will.when does it go away? I haven't lost any scabs except from some on the side where my tonsil was because it was hanging on my tongue making me gag, so I got a Q tip after it. Any advice would be mpost beneficial!!!

I just had the surgery done last thursday, I am a 37 yr old man. I agree with you on the pain. I have been on a liquid diet and I can't wait to eat solid foods. Last night the scabs began to dislodge. I have been bleeding since 4am on a off. I am not sure if I should call the doc, or if this is normal. I will be getting my second dose of pain meds here shortly which I really need to get some sleep. What I am afraid of is the bleeding will continue while I am sleeping. How much should blood should there be when the scabs, fall off? I think I will need another week to recover from this surgery. Not really looking forward to it.
