I really need an answer. Will suboxone make you fail a drug test. I have one soon!!!

Yes u r so right. All these folks saying it will show up r wrong. They r making folks worry 4 nothing. Its sucks 2 worry bout a drug test. Ive been tested this yr a 12 panel lab test and sub or text has nevet showed up. They gotta test 4 it and they dont n a 12 panel.

I have taken 12 panel urine lab test 4 my job this yr and I have ever had a positive or false positive. I have seen on other sites where folks r saying it makes u fail 4 oxycodone I dont believe that bc subs r not a opiate. I think they still had something in system that they thought was gone. They have to test seperate for buprenorphine or give a higher panel drug test then 12 to find sub/text n ones system. Now at my dr they do a stick test that has all 12 plus buprenorphine on it but they r looking for buprenorphine at drs. One more thing we have drug tester guy comes talk to us at my job and he gives us a list every year of the drugs they r looking for and buprenorphine (so far) is not one of them. Its meant 2 get u off of drugs not get u lit. So it doesn't show up in any of the categories of a 12 panel urine lab test. Hope this helps some one. So much wrong info bout this out there. Just make sure ur clean from the other narcotic pills and u should b fine. :)

Yea the sub doc would test specifically for subs that's why it would come up.

That's incorrect, it must have been the opiates from before cause subs WILL not show up as an opiate EVER...no matter what amount you take!

I always think about stopping and never do because of my life style. Been on subs for 10 yrs.. I take very low dose. Just need to face it I gues and be done with them once and for all. I need to face up to it. Joe

Thank you for your incredibly motivational post. I have been off oxycodone for 4 days and haven't had any real withdrawal. Over the last few days, I have take. 2 mg of suboxone a day (prob the reason I haven't felt withdrawal). I just took a 12 panel test and it came up positive for oxycodone. Is the suboxone I am taking causing the oxycodone to come up positive? If this is the case, I am stopping the suboxone immediately. I have had mixed responses about this. Some say suboxone doesn't cause a positive for oxycodone, some say it does. Can you please clarify this for me once and for all? I really need an honest answer. Thank you so much.

My daughter had a blood test in the hospital she was it an accident and she was taking suboxone and please get a special test on her will it show up that she was taking suboxone he goes to court tomorrow

What type drug test are you taking? If your taking a urine drug test 12 panel test then some test for suboxen and bup shows up not opioate... Idk who told you that there is a lot of research that you can find online it all depends on how much suboxen you take, how ffrequent, based on your metabolism like are you an active person or not? Most drugs test do not check for suboxen there are 5 panels, 12, and so on majority of the tests do not they have to send it to the lab and with that the lab can see what you have done for the last 7 days....suboxen has a half life so I would go on the last time you took it and count how many days till you take a urine test and suboxen usually is not detected after 72 hours of the last time you took it....you can verify all this information on the suboxen hotline page...hope this helps you out for future reference

Suboxen does not show up as oxycodone at all it will show up a bug which is an abbreviation for one of the main ingredients in suboxen..I personally myself would go and do some research you can find a lot of useful information at Google by searching can suboxen teat positive for oxycodone? The answer is no I take suboxen 8 mgs and go every week and get a urine test...maybe that was a false positive more than likely the doctor sent that put to the lab to verify the truth behind y that tested positive for oxycodone the lab test will be able to see what you have done for the past week and also checks for alcohol... What did your doctor say about the urine test coming back positive for oxycodone? I personally agree with suboxen and wouldn't be on the right path in my journey in my life and am thankful for them and I get tested with a 12 panel urine test and some test for like I said but will show up...never heared of oxycodone showing up I'll have to check that put with my doctor BC the pace I got to will kick you out for a positive drug screen beside the suboxe

Hey psychoshadybich this goes out to your comment you made and I wanted to reply to what you had to say! I myself am on suboxen and I take 1 a day and iI have been taking it for almost 3 months now and I think that it is a miracle drug and to each is own for there own opinion the suboxens have helped me so much and as long as your urine come back clean you can stay n the program and I am so geatful for it I take a 12 panel drug test 1 a week and I'm not sure whether or not it does test for bup ( main ingredient)...do you suppose that it does and ik that sometimes they send it off to the lab to check your levels and I see so many people come n there and try to scheme there way out ta a dirty urine and it just make a it harder for the ones that are trying to so the right thing...but I'm doing good it sometimemakes my bback hurt and does make me sleepy if I'm sitting around watching TV but I feel wonderful I try and drijnk coffee energy drinks or soda to get that extra umph that the pills used to give me...I'm still new I'm my recovery but every day it gets better

It does NOT show positive for opiates; however your P.O. will most likely has a test that includes looking for Suboxone metabolites. A normal drug urinalysis drug test does NOT test for Suboxone, and it will not cause a positive for opiates. Generally Police, Fire Departments, or any HIGH END job will test specifically for it.

You must have been taking a lot of opiates or really over weight because after 9 days subs in fact DO NOT!!!! Show up..... my daughter is a nurse and if they don't screen for it specifically you will pass. It metabolically in the body is different than opiates.

What about subutex? I go to dacco and they lab test. Will subutex show up?
