I really need an answer. Will suboxone make you fail a drug test. I have one soon!!!

I would say that the methadone very likely caused you to test positive for opiates. Yo have to keep in mind that methadone has a very long half life, so the resulting metabolites will be there for a minute.

No it will not I take a 12 PANEL Drug test each month (ONE OF THE MOST DRUGS TESTED FOR ON A TEST) with DA supervision and I use suboxone regularly everyday actually. I have been for an year and haven't ever failed

That's probably your opiates they're stored in the fat cells but long term opiate users can have it still in their system for 30 days was on them 23 years been on subs for over a year

I'm currently pregnant and in the suboxone program sense June and for some reason on the 12 panel test I keep coming up positive thru urine as Benzoylecgonine (cocaine metabolite) and I have never touched crack/cocaine in my whole life can anyone tell me if its the suboxone or what's going on I'm not the only one there's also some people I know that come up positive as well so please help me

You could prob still have opiates in your system Bc suboxone will not show up for opiates!!! My bf failed a test for opiates 10 days later

Jesus Christ kid of course you're going to test positive for subs on the test your doctor gives you. The test they give you is specifically for making sure you are taking your medication and to make sure you are not taking anything else.

Simply asking if drug "whatever" will test positive on a drug screen, is simply a dumb question period. That is like asking "will it be sunny on earth today?" Yes and no depending on "where you look."

This post is absolutely correct I have been on subs for over 2 years. I was on parole for a part of it and then probation for the rest 2 yrs. I get drug tested all the time. Suboxone will not show up for opiates ever, it will only show up for buprenorphine. My state parole officer would come to my house 2 times a week and screen and not once did have opiates in my system from the subs, if opiates show up that means you took either codeine, morphine or heroin that's all will trigger the opiate panel

To the girl who is pregnant. No suboxone wont cause that. It has to be something else you are taking thats creating a false positive. I took DOT drug tests several times on suboxone and never failed. I did however in my younger days do a cycle of steroids and what i took after the cycle to help you keep your gains made me fail a drug test for every drug under the sun. Once sent to a lab they were all false positives. Maybe its something in your prenatal vitamins? Btw suboxone is very unhealthy during pregnancy. Subutex is safer but either way your child will suffer if you dont kick it before it is born. Im went cold turkey and am now 18days clean. I would be happy to help you through it.

Most drug tests do not test for subutex/suboxone yet but they probably will soon. The only place that i ever had it show up on a drug test was at my subutex doctor

You simply got lucky. Maybe it was the way you tapered down or the fact that you only took it for a couple months. I took subutex (same as suboxone without the naloxone) for 6+ years and went cold turkey from a high dose 18 days ago. Days 2-6 sucked! Im feeling better each day now but still have some stomach issues and very low energy. While it did suck if you want it bad enough its bearable. Congrats on your sobriety!
