I'm 27 and had to have a partial hysterectomy. I'm have 2 beautiful kids. One is 2 and the other is 8months. I started realizing I'm getting hateful towards my kids. With like the tone of my voice. My nerves gets the best if me. I would never hurt my babies. But there is days where I want to to put a pillow in my face and scream. Is this normal. Cause I was never like that before.

Hello,

there isn't a mother in the world who had perfect patience for every single small or big mischief or unacceptable behavior her kids displayed. Imagine a situation where we just re-painted a whole apartment and coming home dead tired from work to see entire living room length plastered with every single crayon color. I wanted to cry and scream at the same time, but all I could do was to tell them to go to their room. I think that tone of my voice was the most hateful thing you could've heard.

So, to answer your question - yes, this is normal. Kids act on their impulses and we simply can't be perfectly calm and zen human beings who wouldn't react. You don't hate your kids, you hate the behaviors that are making you use the tone of voice you hate. Please keep that difference in mind.

And on teh side note - your kids are just entering the ages where they'll be far more active, curious and be able to do whole lot of new things - I feel that's why you feel you say you weren't like this before.

Hope I helped, and feel free to vent here - it will help at least a bit,

Nicole
