I am on tablets for IBS and have been for 4 years. My diet is controlled, and I avoid all food and drink known to trigger and aggravate my condition. However, my stomach is still swollen to the point I look 6 month pregnant and people actually give up their seat on buses so I can sit down. I’m 23 and 5’6, my IBS is under control and my diet is good, yet I still suffer from chronic stomach cramps and back ache, and suffer from extreme tiredness, even though I sleep OK. This has really started to get me down, as it’s now impacting my day-to-day life, in that I’m wearing clothes to hide me. All the rest of my body would be a UK size 10, but the size of my stomach means I’m a 14-16. If anyone can help with any advice, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
