Just over 4 months ago I ran a marathon in Paris before travelling back to Sydney the next day and going back to work. While on a 7 hour stopover in Dubai I had moments where i felt "Out of body". I put this down to being tired from the marathon. Ths out of body moment continued sporadically over the next few weeks and i felt like I had a flu.

Approx 3 weeks later I flew to Brisbane and then drove a car back to Sydney (Approx a 12 hour non stop drive). I had around 6 hours sleep before getting up and giong for a run with a mate. After approx 5 km's I had to stop as I elt completly disconnected from my body. Became quite spaced out and was obviously very scared as I did not know what was hapning. I ended up in an emergency department. Docs did a chest x y, ecg and blood/urine tests. I was referred to a cardioloigist and released after receiveing two bags of fluid. For the next week and a half I had bad flu symptoms accompanied by extreme fatigue. Even a short wak would fatigue me/get my heart racing.

After futher ECG's, halter monitor and ultra sounds of my heart, the cardioloigist said I had 2nd degree heart block, however only evident whilst sleeping and nothing at all to be cocerned about. Was cleared of any serious issues.

Three weeks later I was still sick and having to take time off work so went back to my GP. He ran more blood tests and was not able to put it down to anything other than fatigue and a virus. Another two weeks and I was still ill so went back to th GP. This time was referred to a neurologist.

Neurologist had an MRI of my brain and Sleep deprived EG done. NOthing showed up. Again these moments where I became disorientated and disconnected were put down to fatigue.

Sine then I have had a weak/shaky feeling in my legs and sometimes in my forearms. I have been back to the neurologist and she is still confident it is some kind of virus/fatigue related. I have asked about MS etc and she is sure it is not neurological. I have noticed that I constantly seem to feel hungry and don't seem to be getting anything out of my food. Feel like I am constantly on empty and that my legs could giv way at anytime (Similar to a low blood sugar feeling).

Have been tested for diabetes and hypoglycemia and neither are an issue.

Any thoughts/opinions would be appreciated. Could something like a gluten intolerence cause this?
