I have a 3 and 1/2 year old who has the following history--looking for help/direction:
tubes after repeated ear infections (at age 1 and 1/2)
6 hospitalizations between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2- high fevers, dehydration, viruses are diagnosed by doctors
3 uti around age 2- 3
3 strep infections in 2 months age- 2 1/2
hospitalized last week because of stomach virus (lost 5 pounds)
she doesn't get sick more often than other kids, she just seems to get it worse- and no she is not in daycare- she is with grandma everyday.
I am contemplating preschool next year, but wonder what to do before then to rule out any issues- primary doctor recently suggested doing an immunology workup --
we already saw immunology/allergy specialist to rule out allergies and asthma- no allergies or asthma were detected.
