Hello, guys. I need your help. Or advice. Call it however you want.
I was wondering does anyone in here have some experience with a tubal ligation? I'm considering a reversal of tubal ligation and I need to hear as much opinions as I can.
I was reading about several sides - effects but I think that with good doctor everything will be OK, right? Anyway, do you know what is the success rate of that procedure? I was reading some statistics but I prefer to hear what do you know and what do you think about this?
Tnx!

I have to admit that I am not sure what to tell you. I have been looking about the same thing and I've found different information on different places so I am not sure myself. On this one place I found that your chances of conceiving after you have done tubal ligation reversal are only 25%, while on the other place I've found that your chances are between 40% and 85%, but only in the first year, if you can't conceive in the first year, you are unlikely to conceive in the years to come, so I don't know.

I think that it varies, it mostly depends on how did the first surgery go, tubal ligation surgery that you did before. If that went entirely okay, then it is very likely that this tubal ligation reversal surgery is going to be a success.
The doctor is going to tell you about all the details when it comes to tubal ligation reversal, and he will also tell you about the success rate of it which sometimes varies.
I am wondering have you seen the price of this procedure already? I hope that you did because if you find it out now, it might be too much for you.

I have never heard about this until two months ago when one friend of mine told me that his wife did this. Is it true that you can do something after this and get pregnant again? I am still a bit confused about this. He tried to explain this procedure for me, but I was not able to understand it very good. I mean, I really don't need it and this is the first time that I am getting to know some things about this...That is why. But the thing that I remembered is that success rate of this procedure is more than 75%. I know that some people will say that this is good, but if you ask me, I don't believe that this is that successful. I think that this could be much better. Correct me if I am wrong.

Hey Guest. It is not 75%. It is more than that.
But generally, when we take a look at the bigger picture, it is not that easy to say more about this or to answer to this question. It all depends on several factors, such as your age, your medical card and a lot more.
I was reading that some experts are saying that tubal reversal is more successful in women under the age of 30. But on the other hand, some other experience demonstrates pregnancy is possible at any age if you are having regular periods. That is why it is very hard to tell.

My experience with this procedure is really good. I did this three years ago. Of course, before those first steps, I consulted my doctor about this thing. He was really patient and he answered me on all my questions. So, after less than one month I have decided that it is a right time to do that. Now I am 33, so I was 30 years old when I did this. The first thing that I have learned is that women under age 35 have about 70 to 80 percent chance of getting pregnant within a year after tubal reversal. On the other hand, women over 40 have about a 30 percent chance of getting pregnant the first year after tubal reversal. The good thing is that I felt really good about this and no side - effects for me. Good luck!
