Im a 26 yo marine vet after experiencing the same problem with these little blackspots like a movie film burning up on screen and being at risk of a heartattack due to cholesterol levels at 300 i called tje VA my doctor said i need to come in and get examined for a stroke. Is this a viable answer

Yes, it's a possible answer. If you have high blood pressure, common with high cholesterol, that can also cause eye problems.
Any history of brain injury? That can lead to visual problems as well.
