Hi, I got TMJ disease and it drives me crazy, as I have terrible headaches and migraine. How can I prevent this happening? I use splint regularly.

Hi, I also have severe migraines due to inappropriate position of jaw an inability to put the pressure of my neck and upper back. As neck muscles undergo greater pressure then normally, this can result in head being stressed and provoking headaches. Although, some professionals don’t agree that there is any connection between migraine and TMJ. Headaches associated with TMJ disease are sometimes referred type of pain that the patient interprets as a headache. You need to practice to find position in which is your neck not under pressure and try to be in that position to avoid any headaches.
