Someone I know, who I care about, has something wrong with him and I'm not sure what. I know he took drugs when he was younger and maybe that has something to do with the way he is now but I just don't know. Apparantly - so I've heard - he was normal before he took the drugs but there are other aspects which make me think it might be a hereditary thing ..

Anyway, it's difficult to explain exactly what he's like. He seems to find it impossible to empathize with people; he will talk, and if someone says something else, he will pause then continue with what he was saying as though it didn't register. He often gets events and memories twisted in his brain to make him seem like the victim, and he genuinely believes what he is saying. He will often say or do something and, when reprimanded for it, he will deny immediately that it ever happened, even if it happend right in front of your face only moments before. He seems to have difficulty in knowing boundaries.

The sad part is that there have been few - very few though - times when he will appear completely normal and on the same wavelength as myself or anybody else. Then it's gone in a flash.

I don't know - was it a result of the drugs? I've heard of cannibis psychosis but don't know much of it. Or is there something specific that may be the matter with him?
