After I had unprotected sex with a prostitute I tested for HIV. My first results were negative, but after I had sex with my HIV negative girlfriend I have noticed something strange. It seems I developed sore inguinal nodes on the right side. This happened for the first time 6 weeks ago and they still persisting. I am really worried if that might be some STD, so I want to know if anyone might help me and say what swollen inguinal nodes means?

I had almost the same problem; with difference I just had sexual intercourse with prostitute. I also tested myself for HIV and results were negative at 17 weeks post exposure. When I noticed swollen inguinal nodes I was so worried but it seems they have waxed and waned a bit. When they were size of 1 cm and 1.5 cm. I was so loss wondering if I should connect fact I had sex with that prostitute to swelling of inguinal nodes. I asked professionals about it and I found out lymph nodes in the inguinal or groin areas are very common. Swelling doesn’t mean it necessarily must be HIV. However there was significant risk because I had unprotected sex with that kind of sexual partner. My doctor recommended me repeated HIV test so I did it, which I would recommend to you too. Mine shows negative again and after 6 months so now I breathe much easier. That will help you breath easier too, so this must be the best way to resolve your problem.
