For 18 days now I have had a bulge in my right inguinal area that protrudes out when I cough, bare down or exert any type of abdomenal pressure. The protrusion feels hard and is as big as a half dollar coin. The bulge flattens out when I lay down but bulges out again when I stand, walk or sit down. From everything that I have read this is a hernia.I had a sonogram done and the results show that I have reactives lymph nodes that are 1.1 cm and 1.2 cm but no hernia. From everything that I have read lymph nodes do not protrude out when coughing, bearing down or exerting abdomenal pressure.Could I have reactive lymph nodes that are the result of a hernia that was not picked up on during the sonogram?
