I've always been sensitiive to iodine--from antiseptic washes to contrast dyes. Today I discovered that a medicine I cannot tolerate also contains iodine as an inert ingredient. I have other allergies and wonder what relationship these foods have to iodine (if any). I cannot eat cherries, blueberries, cranberries, raisins, sunflower seeds, green bell peppers, and sage. More than anything I'm wondering if there is a commonality between any of these things (other than that they taste great and give me terrible migraine headaches). Incidentally, I regularly eat seafoods of all kinds. Anyone know any relationship between all these things? I see they have a deep red color -- maybe tannin? Where can I find out more?
