Let me start off by saying that I have only few little information about skin cancer, but I have read a bit about melanoma before. I just spent some time on the web because a weird looking mole has just appeared on my lower back, at the bikini line. To be honest I can't get a great look at it, but it is lumpy (I first noticed it because you can clearly feel it is there) and kind of weird pinkish in color. When I tried getting a closer look at it with a mirror, I noticed a thick black hair sticking out of there, and I am blond! So, long story short, when I did a web search it came up with some links about basocelurar carcinoma. Is that the same as melanoma, or is basocelurar carcinoma non melanoma? What do I need to do now? I am thinking about calling a doctor to get the mole removed, but I am not sure what kind of doctor to get in touch with? Thanks for your help!
