my boyfriend and i have have sex multiple times before with no pain. we had sex in may and i missed my period. i went to the doctors and they said i had a cyst on my ovary. we didn't have sex again until Saturday (7/9/11). when he tried to enter me i felt a burning sharp pain. he could only go in about 2 inches before the pain go to be too much. this has never happened before. im 16 he is 17,should i get my parents involved and go to the doctors? do you know what this could be from? the online doctor site suggest PID, is that possible at 16 ? help me please!

There is no reason why your age, especially if you are sexually active, should have any effect on if you will get pelvic inflammatory disease or not - it's caused by an infection and infection really doesn't care how old are you. So, yes, that is a good reason to see a doctor, but this type of pain also could be linked to the cyst - was the cyst gone after it was diagnosed?
