I am a 57 year old female. I have been smoking marijuana off and on for 40 plus years. More so in recent years for fibromyalgia and pain from breaking both my feet. And also for depression. I lost my best friend and my Mother within 4 months of each other. It helped me find my smile again. I went to the ER last night with gallbladder type issues ( I am American Indian and have 4 Neices that have had theirs removed ) and I was given MORPHINE to do a simple ultra-sound. Mind you, I was not screaming in pain. I wasn't even whimpering. I was just very weak and uncomfortable. During the ultrasound the sweet 15 year old tech (I exaggerate - just a bit though) kept askin me where it hurt. Well after morphine it didn't hurt anywhere! I couldn't even remember where it had been hurtin for days. They saw nothin abnormal on the scan. Well, much concern was shown to myself until I peed in the cup. The Dr walked back into the room and handed me my walkin papers And a sort of Jr. High warning of the evils of marijuana. He diagnosed me as having Celiac disease (I told him I had that!) and marijuana usage! My mouth hit the floor. I felt defeated and deflated. The nurse came in and gave me a script for something with Belladonna and phenobarbital in it! It took my husband a long time to find a pharmacy that even had it! I know Belladonna is a pretty nasty herb and I used to give my humongous dog phenobarbital for seizures. Is something wrong with this picture? I thought we were evolving and embracing natural medicine. Oh, maybe that was just us potheads! And I still don't know if pot has really caused this issue
