Hello. I have some minor problem and I hope someone can help me.
I have really regular mestrual cycle. Sometimes it’s late for day or two but that it is really rear.
Since my last mestrual cycle I’ve noticed that my vaginal discharge is not the way it’s used to be. There is much more blood. The color is much darker and there are some clots in my blood. I don’t know is this normal?
I’ve been very scared when I first time notice it! I asked my friends and none of them had no similar problem.
I had a minor operation of leg veins last month but I suggest it has nothing to do with this. What should I do?

I think I can help you. I experienced similar problem last year and I did some research on this subject.
I would like for you to understand one thing-clotting is completely normal.
In fact you do need clotting because it stops bleeding.
You didn’t say how big the clots are. They should be small, not bigger than usual button on your t-shirt. You say that your veins surgery has nothing to do with is-well you’re wrong!
Basic medicaments used for postoperatively period of veins surgery is Heparin.
Heparin is given by injection directly into the vein and is used for the treatment and prevention of blood clots. So it’s stops clotting but makes bleeding even worse. Probably that’s why you have so much blood in your vaginal discharge, and clotting is only defensive mechanism so that you don’t lost too much blood and get into some kind of anemia.
Therefore, you really have no reasons to be worry. Good luck!
