Hi. So I am 20 years old and I have been sexually active for about a year and a half now. I have been sexually active with the same person and he same with me. We were also each others first. I have these taste bud like/caviar looking bumps on the inside of my labia minora, or in my vaginal lips. They don't necessarily hurt but are so so so painfully itchy. I itch them and then my whole vagina becomes swollen. I have no odd odor or discharge. Me and my boyfriend do not use protection, but we were each others first so I don't know why I would have an STD. He never cums inside me too. I have had this problem for a while, but it is very on and off. It seems to go away but always come back sometime around when I get my period. I am just very confused as to what it is and what I should do about it. Do you think its an STD? I went to the gyno a few months ago and got a pap smear and it came back normal. But, because my mom was with me/i got scared/i am very afraid of needles and didn't want to get my blood taken, I liked and told the gyno that i was not sexually active. So I'm afraid now to go back and tell her that i lied and i actually am sexually active. What do i have? What should I do about it? Help please!!!!!!

Not to scare you but I would recommend you getting tested for std's. If you are sexual active you should be tested for std's once a year. You have to protect yourself. If your boyfriend has cold sores on his lips mouth and has had oral sex there could be a transfer of herpes. You can be tested for this without blood work. Research symptoms for herpes and see if they match your symptoms. Or it could be something simple as a yeast infection. I would recommend not having your mother with you when you see your gyn.
