hi yolihdz,
sounds youre having muscle cramps in the leg, aka ''charley horses''.
if it is indeed ''charley horses'' (muscle cramps in leg or foot) try boosting your daily intake of potassium. i noticed i dont get any muscle cramps when i eat healthy.
nice sources of potassium include :
banana,
couple cloves or garlic,
any kind of bean,
meat (specially fish and REAL meat, beef, porkchicken),
dried fruit,
whole grains and nuts (almond, peanuts, whole wheat, etc any kind you cant go wrong as long that it comes frm a plant)
avocado,
mushrooms,
parsley,
potatoes,
spinach,
collard greens and even dark chocolate :)
these muscle cramps can have many possible causes including hormonal inbalances,
dehydration (EATING TOO MUCH SODIUM and not drinking enough water, encourages cellulitis too) ,
side effects of medication,
low levels of calcium in the blood.
it might be linked more serious diseases as well.
and it happens a lot during pregnancy.
hope this helps.
regards, take care
