I had a kidney stent put in two weeks ago. Just had lithroscopy done and can't figure out why I am still in so much pain. Is it the stent? I have read it hurts some, while others have little or no discomfort. I am an extremely active mother of three and have missed t=ball and softball games due to this. The pain is unbearable. All three of my children I had naturally without any medication. I am well aware of the pain scale. This tops all by far. Still have another two weeks before the stent comes out. I have taken hydrocodone, (7.5) percoset, and kaloeric. Nothing seems to help with the pain. Also use heating pad relentlessly and take many hot baths. If I am going to be stuck this way for the next few weeks, is there something better to manage the pain. My doctor seems to busy to answer questions and makes me feel uncomfortable when he does answer. Very intimidating. Had to jump through hoops to get this far with my medical insurance. What can I expect from this stent, and why is it hurting me so much. I thought its purpose was to facilitate this process. Very lost, confused and just want to be free of pain from this. If you could help me out with this I would appreciate it so much Thank you!!
