I agree with you. I've been taking it for many years! I'm a female and am having extreme hair lost in the front of my head, like male baldness with is so embarrassing and it is stressful. I'm going to try to stop taking it and hoping there are no withdrawals or just slight withdrawals. But I agree that the pharmaceutical companies cover themselves well.

I took it for over 10 yrs. I experienced 50% hairless which I attributed to bad hair products. However. Upon 6 mos. Tortuous withdrawal from klonopin hair growing back really fast with no biotin. Could still be due to bad hair products howeber complete cessation of Klooping has resulted in huge hair regrowth.

I started taking a very low dose of Klonopin about five months ago .5 MG every other day I have noticed a significant thinning of my hair particularly around the crown area I will stop the Clonopin immediately

Researching this issue was an easy Slam Dunk. Sandoz Manufacturer states on the package insert hair loss is an Adverse Effect. Alopecia Aereata is a term associated with hair loss in spots or plug like. Anxiety also causes it. Seek out a Good Dermatologist. Cortisone injections augment hair restoration with concommint use of steriod application to the affected area. It is a long process of 3-4 months; however, I think you'll be quite surprised if you follow the advice and seek a good board certified DERMATOLOGIST. The package insert is not publicly available. I found out with an internet search. Usually, I have had several bouts; however, never with the utilization of medications. GOOD LUCK !!! I ALSO MUST SEE A DERMATOLOGIST AND THEN LEGAL ADVICE !!!

I have had to cut off about 5 inches as well. I am going to wean myself off also.

I was only on Klonopin generic (clonazapam) for a few months when I started moderately shedding. I've been off of it for two years and I'm still losing hair. I've lost no less than 70% of my hair! It's thin, brittle, and frizzy as all hell!

Kimberly that not true I took benzo Ativan for 15 years and didn't have any hair loss til I started to taper I shampoo 3 times a week and when I do the shower is full of hair and it very noticeable..ive read it to in articles stress causes hair loss for many and when benzos are stopped or decreased the body produces cortisol which is a stress hormone thus effecting the hair...

I went cold turkey off Klonopin it was a real nightmare. I sense of smell was heightened any scent made me sick. My hair started falling out really bad. I don’t know how I made it . But I did. DON’T EVER GO OFF Benzos cold turkey it is very dangerous. Have your Dr taper you off. After a couple to three months my hair has started growing back I am from others I’ve heard from theirs grew back to so don’t stress about your hair falling out it’s a main thing don’t stress about it it will come back and you will get better God bless you all
