I know there are internet discussion forums on the various hair losses. These sites have so much information from people who have taken things like MSM, beta-sitosterol, and of course Biotin. Not to mention a half-dozen others or more. I would like to try to review some of the frequently used herbal nutritional supplements. Does Biotin actually work with hair loss?

It has been known since these products were produced, that some of these things may work for some people. This just happens to be so, where about 10-15% of folks will swear it really helped their loss, and shedding, or helped to stabilize the hair loss. We don’t know why it works for some and not others people. In the human scalp hair cycle we know that when men start to lose hair, there is a subsequent regrowth of that same hair. Usually it grows back thinner, shorter and less pigmented. The hair cycle becomes shorter and shorter with each of this successive cycle. Biotin is a nutritional supplement that has been around for years and years to help with hair loss. The whole concept of Biotin was found years ago in fur industry. Some researches showed that unless you have a diet high in raw eggs/egg white, you will develop a consequential biotin deficiency. We think it is the best to forget about biotin. The avidin protein is found in raw egg whites, and once it is cooked, the protein is denatured and not active any more.
