A few weeks ago, I had a small labial abscess that went away on it's own after a couple of days. It didn't get too painful, so I didn't make an appointment with my OBGYN. Four days ago, the same thing happened, only this time the abscess is much larger and very painful. I saw my OBGYN yesterday, and she prescribed some antibiotics and said it would rupture on it's own. I don't know how much longer I can deal with this. It is extremely painful and distracting at work. I've tried hot compresses. Any additional advice is greatly appreciated.
