I just found out I was pregnant 5 days ago. I would guess I'm about 4-5 weeks along. I have always tended to gain weight in my belly area but my abdomen has increased in size. Where I used to be able to suck it in, I am not able to do so anymore and it's protruding quite a bit. This seems strange to be experiencing so early on. Does anyone know why this might be happening or has this happened to anyone before?
Thanks

When was your last period? AND are you sure you are truly that early?

Being so early, the fetus is not even the size of a BEAN YET! So it could not make you that big yet, BUT you could be bloated!

I have had the same concern as I am only 5 weeks pregnant and feel like my abdomen is increasingly larger than "normal". However, who is to say what normal is??? Everyone will react to pregnancy and the hormonal rush differently. I have always been considered very thin with the exception that recently I have had to work at keeping my stomach tone (as I am 35). I beleive this abnormally large abdomen is due to the fact that I am not able to do my sit-ups (and this is what my stomach would naturally look like if I didn't?). So don't worry sister, not every women is going to look "great" until the "bean" is large enough to show. Again, we are all different. For all the ladies out there who are experiencing this, go with it. I believe it is normal!!
My best!
