Please help. I have a large bump at the base of my penis. It has been there for a month I think but recently it has started to hurt when I touch it. I have never had sex, and when I sqeezed it, yellow pus came out. Upon closer inspection I realized that there was no aparent opening on the bump. Help!!

Sounds like a cyst. Of course, I'm no medical professional so I would advise you get it looked at by someone who has gone to school for such things. Does it get smaller if you take a hot bath?

Yep, I'd head for a doctor's office to get it checked out.
It's possible that it's just a clogged pour and you've got a pimple or a boil... but I wouldn't mess around.
And I certainly would NOT squeeze it again. You don't want to be spreading infection or pus around.
Keep the area clean. Continue with the warm baths, or hot compresses. If you can raise a white head or draw it to form a head, that's more likely that it's just a skin infection or pimple.
But if not, you want a professional opinion.
Good luck.

Hey bud, i know you are probably scared or embarassed but you should point it out to your doctor. Just because he didn't say anything doesn't mean it's ok. It is more than likely a cyst or ingrown hair. If it is an ingrown hair you might be able to break the skin and pull the hair out. If it is a cyst you can break the skin and pull out the cyst yourself but it is very messy and hurts a little. I would insist that you go to your doctor and have him/her look at it before doing anything. Since you haven't had sex there is nothing to be alarmed about but if it is a cyst it will not go away and if it is an ingrown hair it might get infected and at that point you will have to go to the doctor anyway. Hope this helps.

Doctors are trained not to make comments about patient's private parts or genitals, specifically so that they don't spark concern or jealousy or guilt.
As a result, you should force the issue and point out concerns. That gives the doctor a green light to discuss it and address your concerns.
Trust me, I know. I've been through these classes with doctors before.
You need to take the initiative. If you sit back, they'll move right on to the next topic and the next patient... Through no fault of their own. It's how they keep things moving in the office....
