My husband has been having the same problem. Another thing is, he says after he eats, he gets really tired. He gets so bloated and gassy that he has almost stopped eating and has lost 25 lbs in the past 2 months and has gone through a bunch of test that come up negative. I am curious if it could be caused from this medication. He went to the emergency room and they almost removed his gall bladder except it looked fine. I am going to write the maker of this medication and see if this could be a side effect.

I have been on Levo since July (6 months) and I have gained 56 lbs, my stomach is massive and pretty hard and I can't breathe it in. I am positive my weight gain is due to the medication - I'm on 125. I am going to the docs on Thursday to see if he will prescribe something else, I am going to tell him I am going to stop taking it so he has to prescribe something else. I have also been diagnosed with Achilles tendinitis and an impingement in my shoulder since taking the meds and all my joints hurt. I'm at my wits end! I eat very healthily and am active.

Ladies I'm having the exact same issue and my dosage is 150 mg. I can't stand this much longer and my belly didn't start swelling until after I came out of the surgery and just started taking this. I need help with this issue.

I take 150 in the morning by night I can have icecream. Every once in a while it hits me bloating stomach like I am pregnant it is part of the game.. Weight gain yes but if you eat junk food what do you expect. Eat healthy snack and lots of fruit. Also exercise on a reg basis.. Flat stomach nice. The joint pains and heavy periods happened or happens when I do not take my pill on a regular basis. The hair loss is the heavy periods as a result low iron. Foggy memory fatigue sensitivity to cold emotional.. The pill stabilizes all of this. I call it my happy pill...

I have been on this medication for years and have had all kinds of gastrointestinal problems, gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea. A couple of months ago there was a warning on the bottle that taking it without waiting for 4 hours before having dairy could cause these problems. My life has been a nightmare because of this drug!

I too have had this problem. My endocrinologist switched me to the 50 mcg dye free pills and the symptoms went away. She said she has seen this before.

Oh Yes!!! I was recently switched to 137 mcg and I just went to the Emergency Room because I had SO much pain, bloating and a burning sensation in my stomach that I couldn't handle it anymore. [I have no Health Insurance!] My Bills for this two-hour and fourteen minute visit amount to $12,848.93!!!
