hi, your reply makes total sense. I am on day two of Eltroxin at 50 mcg...I can honestly state, how ever wierd it may sound, that I do not feel as exhausted but also feel like my body is doing a total 360 internally, being kicked into gear just as you have described. Inside I feel like I am functioning at more than the forever sluggish pace I have been dealing with..only two days..guess I needed this med in a big way. Thank god I am on it now, even tho I have had a few issues in the washroom, anything is better than how I felt before beginning the medication. Best of luck to you :)

I went from 50 to 75 mg thyroxine a couple of months ago and am having a lot of painful bloating. When I was on the 50mg for several years I never heeded the instructions to take it on an empty stomach. My thyroid levels were fine for years doing this until now they just barely dipped lower and am now taking 75 mg.
The bloating is so bad and painful that I am fasting intermittently. As long as I don’t eat I feel less uncomfortable.
I was wondering if people taking Armour Thyroid have bloating like many do with Levothyroxine.

Me too! I divide a 75mcg tab… take 37.5 q cytomel…. same bloat. Stop levo & goes away

Vegan is the absolute wrong way to go! I'm assuming you're vegan and this works for you but our bodies respond differently.

All of you need to switch to armour and pay for it if the GP doesn’t prescribe. I had the same issues for years and now my bloating has stopped with the right medication.
