I have just started having these symptoms 10 days ago. Went to ER. Labs normal. Going to neurologist next week. Worried. It all started with a headache the day after Thanksgiving. The dizziness started a couple days later and is intermittent. The fogginess is been around for a while but it is also intermittent.

People you need to listen to me. I had all the tests from all the specialists and it turned out to be acid reflux eroding my esophagus so bad it got into the nerves. You might have silent relux so you don't even know its happening.

Have you thought of Lyme disease?

Hi Mike,

Have you had any luck with your diagnosis? What you mentioned about becoming "uncentered" is bang on for me too. Exactly the same at the store and at traffic lights, I have to look at one thing and not the passing cars etc. You are the first post I've read with the same symptoms.

Please let me know if you can shed any light on this! Thanks so much!

What were the specific breathing excercises? Also, you noted "when" the symptoms come on ... but what about for those that feel this pretty much all day long? Especially for those that are spacey, etc

Like acid reflux and allergies. Sounds like a clear cut case of depersonalization / deralization and anxiety issues to me. I know this because I have been going through every described issue in the OP for almost 2 years and am almost fully recovered. This is all caused by anxiety and can be cured once the anxiety can be controlled.

Acid reflux causes all those symptoms. I lived it, I know and by treating acid reflux surprise, I'm feeling way better. By trying to be the "know it all" you might be hurting some peoples chances of recovery. Plain and simple you don't know much just like a lot of doctors. Theres a thing called a vagus nerve that runs through our throats from our anus to our heads. When the throat gets burned over and over without treatment those nerves get burnt. The nerves in the throat run up into your sinuses including your ears and front sinuses. You ever get brain freeze from eating something cold? Its a reaction to your throat being cold and then you feel it in your front sinus. The same thing happens with silent reflux causing light headedness, ear problems and even shakiness if its real bad. Plus many other symptoms depending on the person. Many people will attest to these things. Theres so many things we as people know nothing about so why do we chime in like we do? You know much more about your condition so I can't question you on that. So just because you can't wrap your head around another condition you haven't a clue about you choose to call people stupid over it? You are not as wise as you think.

I know you wrote this a while ago but was wondering if you have any updates on your symptoms/diagnosis. After reading your post, I could have written your exact symptoms out word for word and have no diagnosis other than migraines after years of going to the different doctors.

Hi!

Have you thought that this may be a migraine? When I get migraines I get numbness that starts in my lips, ears, tongue and moves down my neck to the rest of my body.

I same very same symptoms : I believe they are either due to something wrong with my upper spinal cord ( I have loud crunching going on when turning my head) OR it is due to overexposure to computer screens. I also have pretty prounouced sensitivit ty to neon-type light as well - the lightheadedness explodes when am walking inside a supermarket.
i have had every checked : blood, Brain MRI, full cardio eval - nothing !

I don't know if you're still out there. But this was amazing, I've had these problems too but I could never put it into words. I always tried explaining it but I never could until now. You just explained it really good. I still have these episodes sometimes but I was having them like you were. Mine went on for a couple months but then finally went away

You just described me.... any thoughts or other tests done ? I have had a ton of tests and bloodstock done. Wasn't told I had depression . Anxiety. Neck injury . Thyroid problem . Poor diet and all that jazz . Changed abolsutely everything about me and it still gets worse . I had an Mri done one time and it showed a big blockage slash mass in my right sinus cavity. They said it was just from years of allergies and mucus etc. But nothing serious . I had never really thought that actually might be the cause . I have had a "stuffy" feeling in my right nose for about 20 years ...
