Hello, I would like to hear something about my mother’s health condition. She is 75 years old and has some heart problems. Is there any link between vitamin D levels and heart failure? She has been taking vitamin D for her osteoporosis. Is that dangerous for her? Should she stop taking those vitamins?

Well, there has been some research lately which showed that low levels of vitamin D might induce a higher risk for some heart diseases. This means that the fact she is taking vitamin D for her bone problem is actually a good thing. But she should also consult her doctor about the things she should avoid and the food she can take.
