I have one lipoma in my right shoulder, has never given me any problems. Didn't even know it was there until my massage therapist noticed it. Went to doc and he told me it was a lipoma (harmless). I have had low back pain for over 8 years and recently discovered a lipoma in my low back situated where my pain radiates from. They biopsied it and it was another lipoma. Is there any chance that this could be the cause of some of my back pain. I have two herniated discs and osteoarthritis. I wondered if it might be growing onto a nerve or something. Is this possible??? If so, what procedure would I need to have to determine this???
