Ever since my husband and I divorced, we have a one on one night with each of our now 10 year old twin boys. The boys always insist on sleeping with me. We watch TV in my bed until too tired, then we turn lights out. I think the reason they want to be with me is that they do not like sleeping alone, they have always slept in the same room since the day they were born. I also, thought it just brought them some emotional comfort to be with me. My ex does not agree with this, thus, I am posting this question. Is there a problem with this? Plus, last night one of my boys woke me up and I am quite sure he might have been masterbating in his sleep, which makes me realize he does need to be in his own bed. Can you help me with this

10 years old is a little too old (to me) to be sleeping in your parents bed regularly.. How do you know that one of you boys may have been masturbating while he was sleep?

there is the concept of the family bed...maybe parents are separated in daytime....i find it easier to bf in the family bed....all may wish to be close to each other as much as possible.
as far as masturbation goes,with little ones,it is usually anxiety or curiosity.......one hardly finds anxiety in a family where one is free to not wear cloths in the home.,and all are kind and affectionate to each other.

the main thing to consider here is understanding...that kids will always experiment,,,because they wish to feel GOOD !...we are a family who prefers to be nude as much as possible...very healthy for body and mind...i have 5 kids,4 are boys ..so we see erections all the time.....when playing in home or on our secluded farm............or for no reason.We have family group head to toe massage and accu-pressure massage and meditation . so the kids massaging each other is quite normal. let's not fall for the old Victorian body shame and guilt.Good luck ...just try to understand.

i am a mom of several boys.up to 12....there is nothing wrong about them feeling good....if any boys try anal...just explain to them why it is not a good idea..but know that such as kids experimenting such as 69 ,is safe...some have anxieties about their bodies,,so tell them that their bodies are not nasty ,but..and understand that kids just naturally love to be naked...and offer them the freedom to sleep nude and be naked in the privacy of the home.Moms that agree?

Age 10 is the threshold of puberty for most boys. It is time for your boys to have their own bed.

If you have twin boys, most likely they have always been together. It may seem strange to them not to be together.
